THE PROGRAM
What can I expect during the training sessions?
We’ll have two group workouts per week, held every Tuesday and Friday, to help you build speed, endurance, and race strategies in a supportive, team environment.
Tuesday: Focus on speed work, intervals, and hill training
Friday: Long runs, tempo, and threshold work
What can I expect in terms of 1:1 support?
You’ll have my email and text. Text with questions. Call me. I want to support your summer build-up however I can.
Before the program starts, we will have an individualized meeting to talk about your training and I will build a plan for you, based on your individualized needs and strengths.
Do you have to meet a minimum time in order to be eligible?
The program is intended for intermediate cross country runners. However, I expect there will be variation in training paces. A general guideline, but not a hard and fast rule, is that your PR at the 5k should be under 20 minutes for boys and sub 22:30 for girls. Again, no magic numbers here; those are ballpark figures. We may have runners under 16 min and runners who run 23:00 in the 5k. Workout paces will be individualized.
